HOME NURSE
A home nurse provides care of sick, elderly or disabled people. He/she provides services in the client's home. The services include:
• giving prescriptions complying with the instructions of the patient’s doctor;
• help in getting up and going to bed, in standing up and sitting, in going up and down the stairs, moving from one place to another and moving wheelchair (if necessary);
• massaging and applying various ointments;
• care of home hygiene of the of the client;
• providing psychological health care for the client, and efforts in creating a feeling of calmness and confidence in himself/ herself;
• filling up of necessary documents for various health institutions which contain updated information about the patient’s health status;
• training of family members in caring for the person;
REQUIREMENTS ABOUT THE POSITION
The applicant needs to:
• have completed primary education (8th grade);
• possess team-working skills and to have the mentality for work in the social field;
• has the ability to challenge a positive interest in the community by his/ her performance;
The duration of training for home nurse is about one year.
The content of the training includes basic anatomy and physiology, first (medical) aid, hygiene requirements and patient room therapeutic procedures on disabled persons and the elderly, and others.
