Costs
The average cost of the course fee is about € 2800-3000. Periodically are offered free courses funded by the European Social Fund.

Duration
The training course for healthcare worker last at least a year (not less of 1000 hours). The course is divided into two learning modules:
• Basic module: theoretical training (minimum 200 hours);
• Vocational module: theoretical training (minimum 250 hours) tutorials (at least 100 hours) internship (minimum 450 hours).
Class attendance is mandatory and students must pass a theory and a practical test to obtain the qualification certificate valid throughout the national territory.

Requirements for the access to the trainings
The requirements for the access to the training are:
• secondary school degree
• be at least 18 years old at the time of enrollment;
• be unemployed.
In addition, for foreigners:
• translation of the title obtained in the country of origin, issued by the embassy.
• oral and written knowledge of italian language

The OSS training is responsibility of the Regions that provide the organization of courses and the related educational activities.
